  • The book shops on 39 street upper and lower blocks in the downtown had available Burmese Folk Tales by two authors, Ludu U Hla and Maung Htin Aung. The first book is actually a compilation of Burmese and ethnic minority tales. there are also books on Taungyo, Pao and Danu tales in English and you can find them in the bookshops if you are lucky.
    City marketplace and some other bookshops stock bilingual cartoon books. These are in plastic folder so you have to buy them to see what is inside.
